TR Building & Interiors successfully delivered the complete refurbishment and extension of an existing gymnasium, transforming the space into a modern, high-performance fitness facility.
The project commenced with a full strip-out of the existing interior, removing all mechanical and electrical services, ceilings and finishes, while taking the structure back to its original brickwork. To significantly enhance the facility, we redesigned the internal layout and constructed a new extension, increasing the overall gym floor area by approximately one-third.
Working in close collaboration with the project team, TR Building & Interiors coordinated the design process between the structural engineers, architects and interior designers, ensuring a seamless transition from concept through to completion. Our proactive approach to design coordination ensured every aspect of the project was fully integrated, with all trades delivering the specified finishes to the highest standard.
The refurbishment incorporated a complete package of premium interior finishes, including drylining, plastering, decoration, bespoke joinery and specialist commercial gym flooring, together with the installation of a dedicated sled track to enhance the training experience.
craftsmanship with innovative design and outstanding functionality.
Mechanical and electrical systems were comprehensively upgraded to support the new facility, including enhanced ventilation systems, modern electrical infrastructure and feature lighting designed to create a contemporary and energising environment.
TR Building & Interiors also coordinated and supported the installation of the Technogym equipment package, carrying out all necessary structural strengthening works to ensure the first-floor structure could safely accommodate the specialist fitness equipment and associated loading requirements.
The completed project delivers a sophisticated, spacious and technically robust fitness environment, combining exceptional craftsmanship with innovative design and outstanding functionality.
