TR Building & Interiors was appointed by SELECT GROUP UAE to undertake the sensitive refurbishment and restoration of a magnificent Grade II listed building situated at the prestigious entrance to the Fairmont The Mere Golf Resort & Spa. Positioned within an estate whose rich history can be traced back to the Domesday Book, this elegant 18th-century property required a carefully considered approach that respected its architectural heritage while delivering modern functionality.
The project comprised extensive conservation and refurbishment works, including specialist stone and masonry repairs to restore the building’s historic character, together with comprehensive roofing works to preserve the integrity of the structure for future generations. Externally, the estate entrance was enhanced through carefully designed landscaping, creating a refined and welcoming arrival experience befitting one of the country’s leading luxury golf resorts and spas.
Internally, TR Building & Interiors delivered a complete office fit-out, sympathetically integrating contemporary workspace requirements within the historic fabric of the building while retaining its original charm and architectural features. The existing entrance gates and timber doors were meticulously restored using traditional craftsmanship, preserving their heritage character while enhancing their long-term performance and appearance.
To further improve the functionality and security of the estate, a new bespoke security lodge and automated entrance barrier system were installed and seamlessly integrated into the overall design. Throughout the project, our team worked with meticulous attention to detail, combining traditional building techniques with modern construction expertise to deliver a restoration that celebrates the building’s rich history while providing a refined, functional and secure entrance worthy of the Fairmont The Mere Golf Resort & Spa.
